Turning Development Investment into Genuine, Measurable Impact.
Development and social impact work is judged not by activity delivered but by outcomes genuinely achieved. A programme can produce workshops held, beneficiaries reached and reports submitted, and still fail the people it was designed to serve. Too often, the gap between programme intent and genuine impact is where development investment loses its value, not in the design of the intervention itself but in the space between what was promised and what was actually delivered on the ground.
At Concinnity, we work with governments, development finance institutions, donors and development partners to design and deliver programmes built to achieve genuine, measurable impact. This includes indigenous, traditional and community-based enterprises that conventional growth models often overlook: producers, cooperatives and informal businesses that sustain significant local livelihoods but rarely feature in mainstream economic development strategy. We help our clients see these enterprises not as a footnote to formal-sector growth but as a genuine source of jobs, income and resilience in their own right.
Our approach combines programme design discipline with a practical understanding of Nigerian institutional and community realities. We build monitoring and evaluation into a programme from the outset rather than adding it at the end to satisfy a donor requirement, so that evidence informs decisions while a programme is still running, not only once it has closed. And because development outcomes are shaped as much by institutional capacity and community trust as by funding, we design interventions that account for how Nigerian institutions actually operate and how Nigerian communities actually organise, rather than importing a framework built for a different context and hoping it holds.
The result is development investment that does more than get spent. It gets sustained: outcomes that endure well beyond the life of the programme that created them.
