Biography
Philip Akiode is the Chief Business and Marketing Strategy Architect at Concinnity, where he leads enterprise strategy and innovation with a strong focus on small business growth and transformation. A distinguished Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of professional experience, Philip brings a unique blend of financial acumen, systems thinking and enterprise development expertise to help organisations unlock value and achieve sustainable growth.
His multidisciplinary career spans banking, manufacturing, education, research, consulting and public-private sector engagement across Nigeria and the UK. He has held executive leadership and advisory roles including Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director, supporting both start-ups and large-scale organisations in navigating complex challenges and achieving operational excellence.
Philip is particularly known for his strategic insights into enterprise development, having worked extensively with banks, regulators, cooperatives, governments and development partners to design and deliver scalable solutions that promote inclusive economic growth, financial accountability and institutional capacity building.
He possesses deep technical proficiency in finance, banking, accounting, tax strategy, programme delivery and risk management, and is recognised for his clarity of thought, analytical precision and ability to craft practical solutions that drive performance and transformation across sectors.
Qualifications: MSc in Banking and Finance (1991), University of Ibadan; ACA (1991), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); ACIT, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria; ACIS, Chartered Institute of Shipping of Nigeria; HND in Business Administration with Distinction.
