Biography
Mike Omonbude is a highly accomplished SME practitioner, enterprise strategist and financial systems expert with over three decades of experience spanning commercial banking, public finance, marketing, enterprise development and management training. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship, underscoring his academic depth and practical engagement in business growth and sustainability, especially within emerging economies.
Mike has distinguished himself in both banking and entrepreneurial ecosystems, particularly through his pioneering work in revenue mobilisation, transaction services and financial inclusion. He has held senior leadership roles at UBA Plc, Ecobank Nigeria and SpringBank Plc, where he led major national initiatives in e-collections, public sector revenue automation and digital payment systems, capabilities that directly strengthen SME access to finance.
In addition to his finance and enterprise development expertise, Mike is an acclaimed marketing strategist and a Fellow of both the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and the Institute of Financial and Investment Analysts, Nigeria. He brings a rare combination of strategic insight, market development capability and executional excellence.
