Biography
Arese Alonge is an accomplished financial services executive and strategic adviser with extensive experience spanning banking, financial services and consulting. She brings deep expertise in strategy and operational management, business transformation, digital banking, restructuring and turnaround, revenue growth, corporate governance and stakeholder management.
Over a career spanning senior leadership roles at Access Bank, Unity Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank, as well as advisory work with financial institutions and fintech businesses, Arese has led complex transformation and growth initiatives, strengthened institutional performance and developed innovative solutions across banking and non-bank financial services. Her experience includes leading a major bank turnaround that moved the institution from sustained losses to profit before tax within a year, as well as driving digital transformation initiatives that improved operational efficiency and reduced processing times.

Arese holds an MBA from Lagos Business School, a Master of International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos and a BA from the University of Benin. She has also undertaken executive programmes with institutions including MIT and Harvard Business School and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Institute of Directors.
